Job Bank is the largest Web-based network of job postings available to Canadians.
Between 300,000 and 500,000 new jobs are posted every year.
Over 30,000 job postings can be accessed at any one time.
Up to 2,000 new jobs are posted every day.
Job Bank for Employers allows the posting of job openings free of charge via the Internet.
Employers are able to manage their own job advertisements at their own convenience – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Job Bank has introduced a new feature called Job Match that allows job seekers to actively search for employers who have job opportunities that match their skills set. Job seekers do this by selecting the “Job Match” option on the “Introduction” page in Job Bank. After performing a match, the job seeker receives a list of employers with a matching job vacancy.
For employers, this new functionality allows them to actively search for job seekers who have skills that match their advertised job(s). Employers do this by selecting the “perform match” option for their job ad. Their ad is then matched against job seeker profiles in Job Bank. After performing a match, an employer receives a list of qualified candidates.
